Young people today have found great benefits in learning and achieving success in their studies by using social media and internet resources. At various levels of education students are able to network with their tutors and peers in on line classrooms and discussion boards.

The key to this process opens the door to building communication skills. When young people are encouraged by others in networking it creates a positive environment. Sharing ideas and getting feedback on assignments are essential for young people in order to get personal reflection on their material. The aspect of kudos comes into play when students are able to get praise back from their tutors and peers. For many young students, kudos is the component to being highly motivated and instils within a strong self belief system, where confidence grows and learning becomes easier.

On the stage of life the youth of today are introduced to the pathos of social media . The pleasure and the pains . Their role can change frequently due to mood swings that naturally take place in adolescents. The mechanics that drive social media sites target and connect young people with the world around them. Open invites from strangers pose problems. Some friends welcomed in could be dangerous.

The use of the word friend has become too carefree and the trust can be abused by friends who share secrets or photos to others on some social media sites. Far too often friends with a vendetta may be out to settle some grievance, with triggers in poison messaging. Friends defaming friends, verbally attacking each other on public forums. This can happen so easily and there is no where for some people to run to.

With on line education and learning there is always a temptation to get side tracked and escape for a while and disappear into cyberspace. In another realm where young people can play sport without kicking a ball, or drive a fast car without a license, or shoot someone and even become a supernatural hero with the power to save the universe. This experience for some young people is exciting and addictive. It can also end up wasting many hours every day in front of TV screen. The difficulty for young people is having to leave this plastic environment behind and connect up again in the real world.

There is little encouragement for young people out there who are talented and the lack of venues for songwriters and musicians to share compositions is very limited. That is why young people have flocked towards websites that promote uploading and sharing original material. An indication that the youth of today have a voice and need to be heard. It is a win- win situation for creators of music and art and also fans as well.
The ability to download music and videos has seen vehicles like My Space and You Tube enjoy heavy traffic flows to their websites everyday.

Marketing young people is an area where manufacturers have been able to gain information on trends, like fashion food and music young people like. Based on the response they can then provide the goods and in turn reap a harvest of stolen fruit, however young people are getting what they need. Being happy with life requires work, study entertainment and play. Social media can provide most of those products.
