A novice sleuth is hired by the Santa Barbara police after he cons them into thinking he has psychic powers. An investigative duo and childhood friends, Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and Gus (Dule Hill), take on a series of complicated cases. Crime solving was never so funny.

From a prestigious paranormal police consultant convention to zombie nightmares, Shawn and Gus need all the help they can get as hijinks and tests arise for my favorite favorite amateur sleuths. Hilarity ensues in this beloved series, as Shawn & Gus follow the clues to solve a crime.There is an ongoing scene "gag" with a Pineapple and no episode is complete without Shawn or Gus (both) saying Suck IT!! The chemistry between all the actors translates well, along with the well written scripts. You will fall in love with life in Santa Barbara. I Loved watching this series "live" with the online clue boards, and attempting to solve the murders, in "real time" along with Shawn & Gus. That " social aspect" made this show a stand out, and I believe way ahead of its time. I have all seasons on DVD & I have not done that for any show ever. Yes I'm a huge fan, one of the beloved "Psychos" and here are some of my favorite episodes, although all are highly recommended: American Duos; Ghosts; 100 Clues;Shawn and Gus of the Dead; Psych the Musical (took them 7 seasons); Lights, Camera, Homicidio; Last Night Gus; Office Space. Once you catch the magic, its hard to stop watching. They need to bring this series to the MOVIES, just like Entourage - except PSYCH would be SO MUCH BETTER..PLEASE MAKE A MOVIE!!! love & miss this ensemble crew!
