Why do I do what I do?

Many of my illustrious readers have asked about my signature. In years to come that information will be universally known throughout the world, however today…Not. So I will tell you.
Feel free to pass the information along to various syndicates.

I used to sign my writings “By George,” while I was befriended by a lovely maiden on Facebook. I talked, she talked, I talked again. Suddenly one night without warning in an apparent fit of madness, I hope was controlled yet fear otherwise, she Unfriended Moi and left Facebook completely…gone forever!
Hence the change “By George” to “Bye George” as a farewell to her along with the hope it was not something I said, although it probably was. I am such an idiot with women.
Farewell fair maiden, I may show up at your distress wearing rusty armor, for I cannot control the weather. But Bye George I do show up.
So much for the first part.

The rest, NoPo8, says that I am not a poet.
NoPo8 is a derivative of a signature used by one of the most colorful road agents of the Old West…Black Bart. He had a fear of horses and robbed stagecoaches afoot demanding, “Throw down the box!”
He often left poetic messages in the empty strongboxes signed, Black Bart…The Po8…
Po (Po) and 8 (et)…Poet, of which I am not so I use NoPo8.

There are two different kinds of poetry…poetic and nonpoetic.
Poetic poetry is self-explanatory and speaks lofty thoughts…it is what it is.
In Nonpoetic poetry the reverse is just the opposite…It is what it isn’t.
Nonpoetic poetry looks and sounds exactly like regular writing. Many novice nonbelievers frequently mistake regular writing for nonpoetic poetry.
The difference being regular writing is written by writers whereas nonpoetic poetry is written by poets…of which I am not!

There you have it.

While we are on the subject…There are three different kinds of regular writing…fiction, nonfiction, and fictitious nonfiction.
Nonfiction is the truth and nothing but the truth.
Fiction is nothing but lies.
Fictitious nonfiction is a skillful blending of the two beautifully orchestrated by godlike persons of wordsmithy notoriety.
I will humbly say that I write neither fiction nor nonfiction.

By George! I believe you got it! Described non-Poe-8-tick writing perfectly. I was always trying to tell them they were just writing bull-ship (both Microsoft and Dragon have censored me from writing the correct word here) What in the hell is writing coming to?

Bye, George,

Ron
