Virginia Lt. Gov Justin Fairfax is accused of sexually
assaulting Vanessa C Tyson and Meredith Watson.
Fairfax we want you to remain the Lt. Gov. of Virginia.
On February 2, 2019 Vanessa C. Tyson said she was sexually assaulted by Justin Fairfax during the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston, i.e., forced to perform oral sex. Fairfax said their sexual encounter was consensual.
On February 6, 2019 Meredith Watson accused Fairfax of raping her in 2000 while they were students at Duke University. Fairfax denied having sex with Watson.
Fourteen years after Tyson says she was sexually assaulted by Fairfax and eighteen years after Watson accused Fairfax with having raped her these women are going public with their accusations against Fairfax.
Why didn't Tyson and Watson report these alleged crimes to the police, call 911 or take these matters to court? Many people, even when involved in a traffic accident or a home break-in, to say nothing about being robbed or physically attacked, call the police or take these matters to court. At the time of these alleged sexual assaults, Tyson was tewenty-eight years old and Watson was twenty-one years old. Adults have to take responsibility for their inaction as well as thier action. Any such accusations as these leveled against Fairfax that allegedly happened fifteen and nineteen years ago should not be given any consideration by anyone.These were adults, not children. No accuser of alleged crimes as mentioned above should be considered unless the crime was commited by a person or persons who could not be found. The exception would be when the alleged crime was reported during the year it was commited but the alleged criminal could not be found shortly after the alleged crime was committed. Othewise the three-year statute of limitation should apply.
Parents teach their children to let them know when they are harmed by another person. If a child of twelve is to report such to his parents and/or teacher, for God's sake why allow an adult to charge a person of having committed a cirme against her three years ago to be considered?
I call upon Faifax to REMAIN as Lt. Governor of Virginia. As an African American who served in the Army during the Korean War and upon my return to my native state of Alabama I found it difficult to vote want to remind you of the great price African Americans have paid for you to be Lt. Governor of Virginia. Don't surrender to these allegations made against you by Tyson and Watson. In this matter, the majority of African Americans agree with me. And that is more than we can say for President Trump who speaks for the people lof America.
Let me add, I call upon Mark R. Herring who on February 6, 2019 admitted wearing blackface to "dress like rappers" as a college student in 1980 when he was 19 years old to REMAIN as Attorney General of Virginia. You have admitted your wrong doing and the majority of African Americans forgive you for this dastardly act.

It is unfortunate that the two women, many years later, are coming forth with their claims of sexual malfeasance. But like African-Americans, women have, almost forever, become the accused when they call authorities about being sexually assaulted or offended. Society as a whole has looked the other way and given men the doubt. You have heard of the recent accusations of men in power and prominence, most notably the "father figure," Bill Cosby who is still loved by many in spite of obviously drugging many women into sex they didn't want.
With so many atrocities swept under the rug against African-Americans, it is obvious that women have had enough of their misuse being swept under the rug, especially by men of prominence like Fairfax in his elected position as Lieut. Gov. of Virginia. There may be other sexual encounters by other women that will come out in the coming months. The reason we all want to see Donald Trump's tax returns is because they could reveal criminal activity that shadows Mr. Trump's previous business life before becoming the chief businessman of the country. Elected officials are chosen for their qualities by the American people. We, as citizens, have a right to know if we are electing people of dubious character.
