   Each page is graced with a hefty, imaginative, full page colorful graphic of the frog denoted and is regularly shown in the setting where minute as well as huge reptiles live. 

   And, reptiles depicted runs the range of Red Eyed Tree Frog,  Blue-Legged Strawberry Frog, Goliath Frog, Dumpy Green Tree Frog, Xenopus laevis,  Xenopus laevis is the scientific name for Clawed Frog as well as the Yosemite Toad a land dwelling reptile often found in Yosemite National Park. 

 Others of the additional awesome amphibians include snake like Caecilian, giant salamanders, Ichthyostega the now extinct first amphibian, Hellbender, the deep cave dwelling Olm with his teeny-weeny legs and almost blind, hooded eyes, and the Slimy Salamander.

 As I found to be the case with my very first class in Fresno County, California, as well as all that I met over a span of three + decades in the K 1 level of primary grades; Osage County First Grade, truly LIKE toads and frogs besides many other critters.

 Writer Pallotta’s Frog Book rapidly became a classroom favored book for use while undertaking alphabet work, choosing for the end of the day reading on the rug, selecting as DEAR reading read for choice enjoyment, as well as for taking home in back pack at end of the school day to share with family and friends.

 I like the paperback version; it is light weight for children to hold or tuck into back pack for trek to and from school.
