Its Starting
Ethel’s Murmur will soon be a whimper.
The Doc says she needs to go…I agree…so we’re gonna do it.
I told him, “As long as it isn’t open-heart surgery.”
He said we’re going to stay away from that.
He said once things get started they’ll move pretty fast to the procedure, which will be done either in Vegas or Palo Alto, California.
Either is ok with me.
He said first we have to do a Coronary Angiogram, including a Cardiac Catheterixation, to see how well blood is flowing through the arteries of the heart. If there are blockages they try to fix them with Angioplasty or Stents. If they are ok, we can change the valve.
If not we have to do Bypass Surgery with Open-Heart.
I’m hoping the Coronary Angiogram goes well.
It is scheduled for next Thursday (29 Aug)
I might be dead by September? If I am, I won’t know it, so it’s not so bad! If it is, I still won’t know it? Hey, anything’s possible!
The Ball is Rolling! I did blood work today already.
I’m hoping to get everything done before Hurricane Season so I can still help The Red Cross.
So, Ethel is your heart. I would opt for Palo Alto, it is probably the best in the country. A girlfriend of mine worked there as a nurse when they were developing the first heart transplant procedure.
