Good Evening,

Is writing about politicians considered writing about politics? If so forgive me.

I beckoned The Snail for a hard copy of The Devil’s Dictionary and received it only yesterday with the ink still dry.

I am not a reader, yet I must refrain from scrutinizing this fine publication that entices me and, although a paperback, comes across like a hardcover.
I have found that when looking for a particular word, or one specific, tendencies are to peak at others and lose oneself for drawn out periods of time. In the twinkling of an eye one can spend an eternity on a page without unveiling the word sought.

A perfect example of this is found below. I was searching for Politician, although I know not why? I suppose I just wanted to see how Ambrose handled it. Below that are two other words I could not stay away from.

POLITICIAN, n. An eel in the fundamental mud upon which the superstructure of organized society is reared. When he wriggles he mistakes the agitation of his tail for the trembling of the edifice. As compared with the statesman, he suffers the disadvantage of being alive.

PIE, n. An advance agent of the reaper whose name is Indigestion.
POLITENESS, n. The most acceptable hypocrisy.

This is as much about politics as I wish to write. If I should come across other things it will be unabsolutely rewarding.
