Chicken facts or fiction?

WHAT I FOUND OUT ABOUT CHICKENS FROM EATING EGGS.

I eat two eggs every morning and have found there is more to them than cracking, scrambling, and frying.

Previously there was not much to talk about as they all seemed to be “The same.”
However lately my supplier has done away with Extra Large cartons and replaced them with “JUMBOS.”
I like Jumbos!
One thing I noticed is I’ve been getting a lot of double yokes.

Double yokes are twins. Two identical yokes that live their lives concurrently. They go everywhere as two beans from the same pod. They are brothers, or sisters, depending on their sexual affiliation and influence.

A little known farming fact, known little by those who do not grow chickens, is turtles are a bad influence on chickens. They keep trying to go back in their shells, which we all know is quite pathetic, which is why you never see turtles in a chicken coop.

I have discovered that the twins consist of an “Alpha Chicken,” and a “Subservient.” The alpha chicken is always aloof and the subservient always groveling.
The Alpha Chicken is the dominant egg yoke twin.

They seem to feel each other’s pain. When one is hot, the other sweats. When one is cold, the other shivers. When one eats its fill, the other burps.

When a chickenplucker kicks the alpha chicken, the subservient chicken flies into the air. However, when the subservient is kicked… the alpha chicken acts like it didn’t see it.

Twins always cross the road together and only the alpha chicken knows why.

When the alpha chicken gets its head cut off, the subservient runs around “like a chicken with its head cut off.”
When the subservient gets its head cut off, the alpha chicken suddenly learns how to fly.

Such is the world of double yokes.
