History can be fun if we forget the facts

Thanksgiving 2019
History can be fun if we forget the facts.

The only thing Columbus discovered is he did not have a clue where India was.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Do you suppose The Pilgrims knew they were not in India? Where do you think they thought they were?

What kind of weird workweek were they having to celebrate on a Thursday? Maybe that was the only day the Indians had free?

Actually they had invited their families and friends from Europe who said they were not paddling all the way across the ocean just to have dinner and then paddle back home.
That’s when they decided to have Thanksgiving on Thursday to give them a four-day weekend.
They said that was still not enough time and demanded to stay a month.
The Pilgrims said they could not “put up” with them that long and invited the Indians.
The Indians were still recovering from walking into their settlement on the previous Halloween, but the Pilgrims convinced them “The demons” were gone.

Why did the Pilgrims serve turkey instead of elephant? Elephants are found all over India, and they thought they were in India, so there should have been elephants. Maybe they saw buffalo and thought they were elephants? Maybe the buffalo saw them and thought they were Indians?

They ran out of turkey and the kids had to eat baloney.
Indian kids had to chew the fat, which was more than an expression in those days.
They would have never run out of elephant.

There is no truth to the rumor that the First Turkey Day Football Game was played on The First Turkey Day, between The Patriots and The Redskins.
However it may be true Tom Brady was the quarterback?

Legend has it that two Indians were caught outside the makeshift stadium…Scalping Tickets.

And that’s the way I see it.

Penwose Out,
