I will not say I feel better

A Placebo is a substance with no known medical effects, such as sterile water, saline solution, a sugar pill, a suggestion, or even a sham surgery.

Sham Surgery? I will soon be going for surgery. Do you think it could be a Placebo?

The Placebo Effect is defined as a phenomenon in which people experience a benefit after the administration of a Placebo.

After the spam sham surgery, I will not say I feel better.

Etymology, History of Words, states that Placebo is Latin for “I shall be pleasing.” It was used as a name for the Vespers in the Office of the Dead. A singer of placebo became associated with someone who falsely claimed a connection to the deceased to get a share of the funeral meal.

My Xwife was given a placebo, and for awhile they had her believing she was not, Sha Na Na Na, Queen of the Amazon, although she buys enough stuff from Amazon to claim some sort of royalty, or at least be knighted.
Ultimately it wore off.
I questioned how a medication that did nothing could wear off?
They said it was past the expiration date.

In an ironic iconic sardonic fit of disillusion, I realized they had dismissed me with a Placebo.

Reading your rather sardonic singsong from Sardinia I could only realize that it was giving me a placebo effect so I stopped and opened my eyes.

Bye, George,
