Do Not Plagiarize Under Penalty Of Law

Sitcom Idea
Do Not Plagiarize Under Penalty Of Law

You may find this familiar because I posted it before. I just changed a few things as I usually do.

The sitcom deals with bizarre matters. You may remember an episode where the family, on vacation in California, has to run for their very lives from The Law, after an endangered fly splatters on their windshield.
Lets see what’s happening in this episode.

Mom, with a bunch of typical screaming citizens, stuck in an elevator between floors.
Someone says, “Relax folks. We don’t need a Brain Surgeon to get us out of this.”
Mom, “Well then, I guess I’m overqualified.”
Person, “You mean you’re a…”
Mom, “That’s right…I’m a Brain Surgeon.”
Heavy Beat.

I had Dad in the elevator previously, but I changed that.

Later we see Dad in similar situation with screaming people on top of stuck roller coaster.
Someone says, “Sit Calm Folks. We don’t need a Rocket Scientist to get us out of this.”
Dad, “Well then, I guess I’m overqualified.”
Someone, ““You mean you’re a…”
Dad, That’s right…I’m a Rocket Scientist.”
Heavy Beat.

Later at home they’re in deep conversation.
Dad, “What were you doing in a department store elevator? I thought you were supposed to be in surgery?”
“I was.”
“You were?”
“Yes, but it was Lunch time, and I wanted a hat that was on sale.”
“You went shopping during brain surgery?”
“I gave him a sedative.”
“Weren’t you afraid something would fly, or drop, into his brain?”
“I covered him with a sheet.”

We see what’s happening as she narrates.

“Only trouble was, The Cleaning Crew came in and saw a body lying there covered with a sheet, so they wheeled it down to the morgue.

The Pathologist came in, saw the body covered with a sheet, and did an autopsy.

When he noticed the body was still alive, he panicked, sewed him up. and had him wheeled back to surgery, just as I arrived with my new hat.

Dad, “Didn’t the patient notice a big V sewed in his chest?”

Mom, “Yes he did as a matter of fact. We told him we had to do an emergency appendectomy. We’re making a bundle on this one.”

Dad, “You charged him for it?”

Mom, “It would seem peculiar if we didn’t.”

That’s all!
