When power outages strike, he who has the batteries Rules.
I have batteries but they’re all dead.
So here I sit in the dark.
I have candles but I’m saving them for when I Really need them.
I decided to take a stroll through the neighborhood thinking the power would return before I did.
A cute little ol lady who always parks in her garage, was sitting in the street. I asked her why? She fumbled with her opener and said, “The door won’t open?”
A HA!
I was hoping for something like that, proving the outage was beyond my house. It’s nice when others suffer with me.
I told her what was happening and she was relieved.
She was going to wait until she could drive into the garage but was afraid her prunes would rot.
A few doors down a bush said, “Hello!”
Normally I do not talk to bushes, but this one intrigued me.
I had mixed emotions when I took a closer look and found a man sitting behind it on a stool.
He asked how I was doing and we talked for over an hour.
During that time his wife came out to say the power was back on and the little ol lady up the street beeped and waved.
“What’s that on her face?” asked the man behind the bush.
“Prunes!”
The good news is…After a Power Outage you will notice a reduction in your electric bill.
That’s Right Folks!
You will Not be charged for power you did not use.
During outages my xwife would always go watch the tele.
I would say, “You’re Crazy!” (That was before I actually knew for sure.)
She would sit there staring at a blank screen. (That’s when I began to know for sure.)
She would say, “They’re Here!”
But I knew we were all that were there.
