Gone Astray

The world is a wonderful place to live…except when it is not.
It seems the controlling factor in my life is the adage,
“The best laid plans of Mice and Men often go astray.”

My plans go astray so often, it behooves me why I make them?

I was to get the third Covid shot, (The Booster,) yesterday.
I would be totally fixated…with control of my life.
I had visions of walking up to people with Covid and laughing in their faces. Chastising them for being stupid.
For in truth the vaccines are out there, totally free, with no valid reasons not to take them.
If they get Covid, it is their own fault.

But Alas my plan went astray.
Now I cringe at the thought of confronting them while hoping that the two shots I have are sufficient for a while longer.

Apparently the girl at the VA who claimed the schedule was right before her eyes, had a reading problem, for when I went to the clinic for a walk-in shot, I found it was not the case, and was given an appointment three weeks from now.

I hope that plan does not stray away.

Penwose Out,

I agree with you that is idiotic to have some idiotic reason for not getting all the immunity that we can even if it is inconvenient because the virus shows signs of being long-term and difficult for older people to survive easily.

I will wait to there's a firm plan before I get my booster.
