They are the complete opposite of Donald Trump’s stack of 30,000 lies, and they brought a gigantic standing roar of approval from those in attendance. As a prosecutor in California, she introduced herself to every judge in every courtroom with just those 5 words that defined her and her mission. In the following 20 minutes, no public speaker anywhere in my lifetime ever stirred a crowd with equal fervor or excitement. Not Obama, Clinton, Reagan, JFK, Churchill, or FDR. She is that good with this thing that others fear more than death: Delivering a speech that lifts everyone up. Every pointer about public speaking was at her beck and call. She used them brilliantly.

In just 2 weeks, Kamala Harris is now even with or ahead of Donald Trump across a large number of polls and in a growing number of states. Ever since her equally powerful acceptance speech, her campaign is going just about perfectly. If she stays with her approach—For the People—Donald Trump has no chance of winning an election that is on the level. None.

In contrast, Trump has made the past 8 years a disgrace to humanity. If he were to step into an open sewer manhole, and we could find only his $3 dollar golden hairpiece floating somewhere far out at sea, I would lead the choir in singing “Hallelujah”! But in fainess, I would also praise him for finally having “drained the swamp.”

Still, these are tenuous times, and nothing is certain beyond death and taxes. But I have the feeling that Karma and the Cosmic Forces are at work re-balancing the Scales of Justice with a panache and flair far beyond the reach of the man who sucked the oxygen out of America.
