Michaleson finds herself drawn to fellow investigator Cole Carter as they struggle to unravel the mystery and keep themselves alive. Their nemesis is a strange one who has perfected both death and the keeping of perverse trophies.

In The Company of Darkness is a riveting work filled with heart stopping action, good dialogue and believable - at times terrifying - characters.

Writer Droban has crafted a well thought out mystery thriller filled with enough red herrings to keep the reader on their toes in this nail biter. The reader is pulled into the narrative from the outset and carried along on a daring adventure right down to the last breathless paragraph. Not for the squeamish, Writer Droban has done her homework.

In The Company of Darkness has enough frank description of decaying bodies and coroner's report information to raise the hair on the back of your neck as you discover just how diabolical Droban's murderer really is.

This is not a book for a dark and stormy night while you are home alone. Excellent read, looking for a sequel.
