Examines the career and fate of Xenophon Kalamatiano, the Russo-American businessman who also served as chief agent of American intelligence in Russia during the Revolution. Arrested by the Bolsheviks, he spent years in Soviet prisons and died under questionable circumstances not long after his return to America.
