A Rose into the darkness
by Maria Cristina Azcona

Wednesday, April 28, 2004
Rated "G" by the Author.

--

A rose grows

into the obscure darkness of this era.

The pink petals fall

one by one over the black lake.

A pale pool is formed,

a pink face on the black death.

The wind flows,

it brings a shivery dance

to the feet of those

who are fighting hard

for their last hope.

A pink flower is the face of God

while petals flow

into the wind that smiles,

 heavy smile

 like the one of the

Mona Lisa.

A lot of hidden meanings in this work.
Reminds me of changing times, adjusting to change.

To me ,your poem is about Eternity. The petals die and fall on the ground but a smile is impinged in one's mind. The words are like petals..caress them, smell them ..and the colors of your poem remain forever in one's mind. anne pawlak.
