Melissa is a Speech-Language Pathologist who works with children.  She is a former dancer.  After raising a daughter who was very involved in the world of dance,Melissa decided to write a humorous book about dance.  It covers dance superstitions, costumes, shows, competitions and all things dance.  It is written from a parent perspective and shouled be interesting to any parent of a child in the performing arts. Melissa lives in Gainesville, Fla. and Weaverville, N.C.  She received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Florida.
