Like so many others, I was raised in a Christian home, but chose to put God on the shelf as a young adult, but sought Him out when I hit rock bottom.  I was contemplating a method for commiting suicide, when a gentle thought entered my mind, "How will your young boys live if you are gone?"  At that moment, knowing I had to live, but also knowing I could not keep on, I cried out to God, "God, if you are really there, I cannot go on.  Please help me!"  God did that and so much more.  As women, we wear so many different hats; it can get burdensome and very stressful. For that reason alone, I would write and speak to women anywhere and everywhere.   Today it is my joy and passion to share the greatness of our God with other women.  God wants all people to allow Him to be active in their lives.  He is not a far-off, aloof God, not at all.  Knowing God, and growing with God, can truly bring our crazy, hectic, barely-have-time-to-breathe lives to a more calm, peaceful, and joy-filled state. My books are written for new believers, seekers, or what I call "lost Christians."  I write for all, but speak primarily to women's groups.  It is also a joy to lead women's retreats.
