Dikombi Gite is a native Houstonian who attended inner-city public schools before earning his college degree. He worked successfully in several industries including promising IT jobs before giving it all up to become a middle school teacher. His dreams were met with the harsh realities of the charter school system and after wanting nothng more than to teach and enjoy his own family, Gite realized he needed to tell the world through his writing about the state of our education system. Gite works with several youth groups and has returned to the private sector. He also writes about The Gite Project at his popular blog.
