The first story I wrote was for my english class in high school. It was about a boy who falls in love with a car. He works to restore it, and in the end wins the heart of the girl he liked because of the car. It sounds alot like "Christine", doesn't it? My teacher loved it and asked if she could keep it. I was honored, and that started my desire to be an author. The authors who have had an impact on me are, of course, Steven King, Piers Anthony, L. Ron Hubbard, and Dean Koontz. My writing never took off. I tried college but had to pay for it my self. It didn't work. I ended up in the Marine Corp. After the military I worked here and there, and finally went to work for the Sheriff's Dept. That lasted about four years, until I got tired of all the pollitical trash. Leaving law enforcement was good for me. I found a job making alot more money, and meet a friend who was a published author. That returned me to my desire to write again. Matthew's Hero is the second book I started. It is the first one to be published though. The first book I started writing is The Storm. This one I have had several changes while writing. I feel it is all starting to fall together now. Hopefully it will be published this year. It is a fantasy story about an evil king's rule being destroyed by an unlikly cause.
