My wife and I live in Marlow, Bucks UK in the former home of Leslie Thomas, one of the most prolific authors this country ever produced.  I moved to the UK twenty years ago having lived in New York previously.  I learned to adapt quickly and fully appreciate the unique humour of the British public; that which I have learned I have adopted for use in my latest creation which is a must read for those that are passionate about anything.  The table of contents includes names of chapters including 'I HAVE A GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO LIVE IN AN OPEN PRISON', 'JESUS CHRIST WAS A BUILDER AND OTHER UNRELIABLE PEOPLE' and 'I WANT TO BE A WEATHER GUESSCASTER'.  The name of my book is 'I WON'T BE IN TODAY, I'VE SUPER GLUED MY EYES SHUT'.  The largest factor that influences my material is by far the general public.  They provide a constant supply of new material and my favourite activity is people watching outside the pub, you should try it.  No special invite or ticket is required and the training can be done while you participate.  (Please be advised, there is a big difference between watching and staring but you will get the hang of it.) 

Among other activities I played professional basketball in the UK and am a former golf professional. Outside of that I graduated with full honours from the School of Life many years ago.
