Since that time, she has penned one novel, two books of poetry, one non-fiction work, a cookbook and has recorded two spoken word CDs. She completed a compilation of her poetry in the summer of 2010, and is now working on her second novel.

Wanda is a native of York County, PA, but grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee, where she attended ETSU. For 31 years, she resided in Jacksonville, Florida, but recently moved to Kingsland, GA, just 20 miles from where she lived in FL and three miles over the FL/GA border.
Poe is her favorite poet. O'Henry and Ann Rule are her favorite authors.
Wanda is well known for her down-to-earth writings that originate from her personal life experiences, good and bad, happy and sad.

In addition to winning Third Place in the international VOICES OF SERENITY competition, sponsored by The Ancient Wind Press and Poet of the Week from LOOKING WITHIN (a poets' group), Ms. Harrell has received several honorable mention awards and is published in numerous poetry anthologies in the US and England. She is also a Platinum Member of CAMBRIDGE WHO'S WHO.
