Since I was young, being Scottish I was brought up on our national bard Robert 'Rabbie' Burns' spooky poem, Tam O' Shanter, about evil witches and spooks. That, coupled with banshees and other Scottish horrors whetted my appetite for the genre and I devoured as many books as I could on the subject, both fiction and non fiction. In Scotland, we have our fair share of monsters A - Z and things that go bump in the night. The Loch Ness Monster, The big grey man of ben macdhui (a bigfoot / yeti  / sasquatch type of creature. In our seas we have the selkies and wraiths and not forgetting the banshees. All of these served to make me even more curious. growing up I poured over all the pan horror books I could get as well as books on creatures unknown and of course the classic authors, Poe, Lovecraft, Saki, Blackwood, Bierce and MR James et al. In the modern genre of horror masters, I suppose, James Herbert, Richard Mathieson, Dean Koonz and Stephen King are among my favourites. I enjoy reading horror books because of the 'chill factor' but to me, 'real' horror is violence against humanity (us) in whatever form and war.  I hope you enjoy my uncensored horror. It is 'In Your Face', taboo stuff, not for the faint hearted or easily offended. Beware, you have been warned!
