Author of eight books, artist, poet, and education activist.
I knew at 16 I wanted to be a novelist. After college and two years in the Army, I went to New York to pursue this.
Four new novels available now. Sample first chapters are on AuthorsDen.
Many exciting projects in the works, in particular, Saving K-12, a nonfiction book which explains the problems in our public schools.

Background
Information
My new novel is Frankie, a story inspired by advances in robotics and AI. It's a mixture of mystery, crime, science fiction, suspense, and speculative fiction. The focus is on robot/human interactions, and the weird things that will happen as robots get smarter and smarter. I would say it's mixed-genre and tragicomic.
I've published several books over the years including "Too Easy," which was translated into German, French, and Dutch, and has been reissued as paperback and e-book by Simon & Schuster.
I have a literary site called Lit4u.com which provides a sampling of my work, including poetry. it also presents more information about Saving K-12, which is available for pre-order now on Amazon.
My main education site is called Improve-Education.org but you can just as easily Google my full name and any education subject you're interested in, and I've probably written about it.
I use twitter only to announce new articles: @educatt

Accomplishments
Mensa, PEN, Who's Who in America 2015.
Too Easy, just reissued by Simon & Schuster as an e-book and paperback, was reviewed by Kinky Friedman this way: " the unwed mother of all page turners… So well-written and frightening."
American Dreams, published by Permanent Press years ago and still in print, is a frankly experimental novel. I suspect it is one of the best experimental novels in American manager. Publishers Weekly reviewed it as if it were a standard novel so it's not that exotic. See reviews on Amazon. This book was recently reissued as an e-book by permanent press.
Additional Information
My total "reads" and "views" of my education articles is about 4,000,000.
Two detective novels appeared in September. Too Easy was republished in December, 2015.
