Some of my major literary influences would have to include Jack London and F. Scott Fitzgerald. I admire many writers: Alice Walker, for how she is able to put everyday things, things that aren't talked about much, a way that is graceful yet straightforward; Ralph Ellison--a great writer who pinned a masterpiece; and others. I admire London's imagery and work ethic (one that I have taken on as a challenge), Fitzgerald's technique, Walker's straightforwardness, and Ellison's use of narration and voice.
