God Is:

God is my strength and power

He is the author of my gift

He calls me back to him

No matter how far away I drift

He hears my whispered prayers

And gives my soul peace and calm

His written word

Is my spirits balm

If I ask Him

He sends his angels to my side

Not to judge me

But to be my guide

Throughout life’s troubles waters

His hand keeps my boat steady

And allows life’s challenges

Only when I’m ready

He provided me with birds that sing

And butterflies that Glide

He uplifts me when I fail

Because He knows I tried

And when my life is over

His heavenly kingdom will I see

Because He sent His son

To die upon a tree for me
