The older I get
the more I am convinced
that I was put on earth
to serve as a bad example
by a Motherless nature
suffering P.M.S.

I am on a diet of
low moral fiber
while my arteries
race to become
the hardest parts
of my body.

My heart's half shot
legs are failing
I am sometimes frustrated
sometimes panic stricken
by ailing parts and
waning concupiscence.

Frustrated by the first time
I couldn't get it up
the second time
panicked by the second time
I couldn't get it up
the first time.

In my youth
drugs were recreational
now I fear
they're all prescribed
but soon enough
the magic word - "Viagra"

Suddenly drugs will
be recreational again
and I shall dance
half the night away
and fuck away the other half
in delusions of adequacy.

And I will fill my role
serving as object lesson
"poster boy" for
creative hedonism
until they find a cure
for testosterone.
