I think my mom has given me my birthday present, as my birthday was on May 15. I have not been advertising my birthday in Facebook or anywhere, so I have only spent my birthday privately over the last weekend. But two nights ago mommy came to me in my dream and she gave me a present. It was so lovely...
Mommy, August 2005. One year before her passing. She is with God now.
I had a good dream about my mother last night:
I dreamed mommy gifted me a beautiful red coat made with soft silky brocade fabrics.
The coat was beautifully designed with patterns and was lined with soft silky cotton to keep me warm.
Mommy handed me the coat, and I slid my arms into the sleeves. At first, I felt the sleeves were too long for my arms, but the cuffs held the sleeves and fitted both sleeves on my wrists. The coat was long as well. It was almost down to my ankle, but I felt so beautiful having it on me.
I can't remember whether or not mother and I had spoken to each other; or whether or not I have said "Thank you!" to her, but I was happy to have the beautiful red coat on.
Nice poem. I dream about my mom often too, but she's been gone for 18 years. This kind of reminds me of Coat of Many Colors by Dolly Parton. I guess what mom makes always fits. Glad you liked the coat.
I AM 77, MY MOM DIED MANY YEARS AGO. I ONLY DREAMPT OF MY MOMMY ONCE, BUT IT WAS VERY SIGNIFICANT. MY MOTHER WAS NOT A RELIGIOUS PERSON BUT HER MESSAGE TO ME WAS THE EXTREME OPPOSITE RELATING TO A SUBJECT WE HAD NEVER DISCUSSED BEFORE. On the day of my birthday, I woke up early, and immediately I thought about my mom because she used to give me lucky money in a red envelope for good luck on my birthday. That morning I felt depressed, feeling there was no longer anyone around who would give me lucky money for good luck (Traditionally, the lucky money had to be given to me by someone older than me, i.e. my parents or aunties). Same on Chinese New Year's Day, I have not had any lucky money for many years either. I felt depressed, but the thought of my children and my brother coming over to celebrate with me on my birthday made me happy again. I got out of bed and began working in the kitchen. I love to make treats for my children to eat. I love them all unconditionally. We had spent a great day together!
Then Mommy came to me in my dream and handed me a beautifully designed red coat. I'm assuming she wanted to give me something much nicer than a red envelope. I think the red coat was like a red envelope for good luck. I was so happy that my mommy remembered my birthday and she came to give me a birthday present in my dream.
What a wonderful dream. May all your dreams be like that. That coat seems like quite a prize. Were you disappointed when you found that it was only in a dream?

How so very precious ! I know she really came to you. Sandie, I believe you are very gifted spiritually and can see. I see loved ones who passed in dreams and it's incredibly comforting to know they are waiting for us and safe. They are so very concerned for our well being every hour of every day..I hear Chinese moms do everything for their children and she looks like such a sweetheart and I know she's so very happy !!!..The spiritual world is more real than the physical if we open our hearts. This book is a collection of short stories that depict events in Author's life while she lived in Romania, then in Greece, and last in America. It's a beautiful and very sincere account of a young woman's life and comming to age.
