I longed to build a home
In the grove of birch trees,
Where the ferns grew wild,
On the land you showed me.
My Heart found you
There by the Sea. . .
And still lingers on that shore
Of the Bay of Fundy.
Deep inside I feel certain
That we'd met before we met,
That our souls
Had been entwined,
Though our bodies hadn't yet.
My dreams deeply miss you
And miss what might have been
I cry for lost good-byes,
My sweet Berwick man.

to me, these are the key lines to the heart of this wonderful and warm, loving tibute to a dear, one-of-a-kind love that was lost before it was truly found. And therein, too, is the key to your on-going bond. One day, I pray, you will find each other for certain sure in a time and place from which your mutual joy cannot be robbed. Beautiful work, thank you. And my sincere condolences at your untimely loss. xx
Four years on and it must seem like no time has passed.
Somehow though, poetry heals in its mystic cathartic way. It is the 8th wonder of the world.
He is always WITHIN you surely you sense that..go to him in dream-time for that is the REAL reality..
Beautiful heart-wrenching verse..
Blessings,
Vesna :)

This is so sad though, in that you have lost your companion and that you have lost that exquisite dream. I'm so sorry!
