I wrote this as I thought of my family of origin on this Christmas Eve. I dedicate it to all struggling families - the ones who need Love to enlighten holiday gatherings. . .

Christmas Reach
by The Poetess (SRP)

I reach as deep as words can be
Into an empty Christmas past
To bring forth something
Only time can let last
Not just merry joy
For all of you and me
Not just presents
Under a shiny tree
I reach for the Love
I secretly yearn to be
The kind that can heal
The pain we all set free.
