A bit of sarcasm here that I just needed to let out. Perhaps many natural writers - the ones who were born to write, will understand how difficult it can be to follow our passion - our life's purpose in a world that often thinks that everything, except quests for money, should be abandoned. God help us!
It is here, burning in my Soul,
Like an uncontroled fire -
Dozens of books
That need carving
With millions of words
That need assembly
Into countless lessons
That need learning.
To quench the fire of words is to starve hungry minds of wisdom! I say keep fueling the flames; feed the soul...no one can take that away. Pockets full of money, especially dishonestly gained, can be blown away in a single minute!
I was a fire fighter for 10 years, it is much more difficult to contain the fires within.
These fires should never be extingushed- no matter how much life piles on them to smother them out.
Breathe on the embers until the light shines again.
Do love the sarcasm. I mostly wish the inspiration would wait until I'm ready for it- or come in a dose I can handle. Now there- we try to blow it out and just fan the flames.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
