The meeting went overtime

you know thats how it goes,

you make all those plans

then who knows.

So I caught a late bus

the 302

outside the station

many people waiting

as people do.

When it arrived

I was relieved

feeling tired I

sat back in ease.

Then I looked around

at the vast mix of culture

perhaps ten different races

all going places.

Each tell a story

at least to my eyes

from the West Indies

to The Asian continent

perhaps Chinese,

and me no where romantic

just a place hidden away

Loughborough

in the the UK.

The young

and those older

all heading perhaps

Home

or maybe off to work

who knows.

A late night bus

travelling through the dark

winding through streets

as it takes us so far,

almost to our doorstops

where our journey ends,

and tomorrow

another day begins.
