One morning it is alright
something feels quite new
like a switch has been thrown
you cannot put your finger on it
you just know.
Know it is all different
like the pieces fit
as the Sun peeks through the clouds
you smile at it's gesture
it's soothing hand
you know this is it.
All that you have done
almost all of your life
you have worked so hard
for what some mutter
'Oh you write?'
Now it is that morning
the jigsaw diadems all fit
you are not as you were
trapped in yesterday
your work is in print.
No longer divided
by shall I shall I not
suddenly all things are united
you had not lost the plot.

For me the joy of just writing is what makes it worthwhile. If I receive credit or readership, it's all the more rewarding.
