Sometimes I let my iagination run riot as I look at the passengers. Its entertaining, so this time I decided to write it down. 0n 12.00 from Liverpool Street to Norwich.

Poem Artwork

Playing games

inside my head

observing the people

listening to what was said,

then making characters

of all their faces,

as the train moves on

my imagination gains pace.

There's a man with a laptop

is he really there?

or is he a bout to disappear?

A girl nearby

is reading a paper

is she the one he is after?

Then enters the uniformed

ticket inspector

will he ignor or will he help her?

To scared was she

as she shows her ticket

he moves on

and the train moves along.

No one moves

when they arrive at a station,

on steps a man

of well built proportions.

He is heard as he groans

'Oh dam I have left my mobil at home.'

Is it all just a ploy

as he takes notices of a passenger

the man with the laptop

towards he meanders.

'Could i ask you to send me an email,

rather urgent

I have forgotton my mobile.'

The girls with the paper looks concerned

as she moves

changes her seating,

somethings not right

she is thinking.

There she hides buried in words

only occasionally

she peers from behind.

Then at a station his laptop in hand

the man hurries off

lost in the crowd.

There in the corner

the man of proportions

snores as he sleeps

while the girl seems relieved.

Soon she arrives at her destination,

leaving her paper

where she was sitting.

Me and my mind

have come to a close,

as my journey nears

its end and soon I will go.

The man in the corner he still snores,

while I close my notebook

once more.
