Rain is falling
at such a pace
thirty three feet per second
I read,
hope it dont hit my head.
The fields look sad
they are water logged
a man in a tractor
navigates a bog.
Lightening flashes
across the sky.
Everyone smile
Gods taken your picture today.
The farm sheds rattle
as the timbers creak
and thunder rumbles
across this place so bleak.
A dog barks
in angry abandon
as the roll of thunder
is making such a din
yet like a coward
into the shed he runs in.
Soon it passes
as sunlight dances
through a train window
its a changing view,
clouds unfold and roll apart
as the fields start smiling
and the Crows call out.
A moment in time
captured by God
the flash of his camera
travelled across the land,
and now through frame
of a train window
you sit and you watch
the changing view.
