How many times is IF spoken, if only, if I had a chance, what if.
If is powerful
akin to doubt
yet it will leave you alone
when opportunity shouts.
Loves to make
a Gordian Knot
by reminding you of
that which you have not,
gesticulating with sighs and bemoans
allowing you to think
your options
have flown.
Yet if will crumble
like wet sand when it dries
when opportunity beckons
captures your eyes,
then that knot
so neatly bound
will fly apart
when you say I can.
So consider if
it is only fair
yet never let it linger
cause despair,
always remember
doubt thrives eating dreams
so when its if's time
allow it to leave.
