How To Be Saved, Repent Or Believe Do you repent to be saved or do you believe Believing and repenting are two sides of the same thing To call upon Jesus for mercy and Him in your heart receive Coming as a poor undone sinner seeking forgiveness and letting Him take you under his wing To believe ON, not believe about, means to depend, trust, and rely upon Realizing youre a sinner and can do absolutely nothing at all to save yourself But believing in Christ's atonement as recorded in the book of John That he loved you so much on the cross he took all your sins upon himself Believing on Jesus is putting the matter of your salvation in His hands alone Knowing there is nothing in yourself you could do for this salvation to obtain But only trust and believe on Jesus to be born again and claim Him as your own If there was any other way to be saved, then did Christ die in vain John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast.
