Press on, my brother and sisters... press on! For the Lord Jesus, who cannot lie, keeps His Promises! Rom 8:18, 2Corn 4:17-18

If...

my Salvation, which was

wrought by my Lord and Savior

Jesus Christ on Calvary

could be taken away

then...

I would 'throw in the towel' and

want to die...not

tomorrow but right now, today!

Other than that, yes

your oppression does hurt...

I wouldn't ever

want you to feel you're

weren't doing a 'good job'...

because, you are

And I expect over and over

again it will... continue

to hurt

Sometimes...I'll weep,

other times... I'll cringe

and be filled with despair

But still, at other times...

the mockery, rejection and

plain out cruelty and unfairness

will cause a deep 'ache' within

And, of course,

there will be instances

when I'll want to just...give up

but...I won't!

Encouraged and Strengthened

by God Himself

...I will Press on!

And I will press on with joy

and gratitude, seeing how God has

allowed me to behold, through

experience...'exactly' 

what He Doesn't Want Me To

Become...You!

This is a prayer to recite when you run into the "you" .....and they seem to come out of no where and fast.....i'll just recite this and feel blessed. excellent write. Morgan

The ending stunned me a little ...wow! I agree with all that you wrote ...people are sometimes cruel towards others,some can be mean
and harse (Ignore them)and just adhere as you are doing to those deep spiritual feelings that live in your heart.All one can do in such a case (when faced with cruelity)is be exactly as Jesus would want...that would be kind .
Joyce,you keep writing and expressing your strong deep and passionate poems ...I for one love them.

Uniqueness is our hallmark and the calling-card of God himself. He doesn't do blanket prescriptions and neither should we. Very good Joyce. My reasons for experiences like this may not be the same as yours, but I do understand. It is hard to press on when the hurt seems so bad and we want to give up. I just tell Jesus I walk with him, and say to myself "this too shall pass."
Peace washes over me and the situation does pass.
