All my life I had searched…for what…?

I hardly knew

but I was aware that the ‘gnawing’ inside

grew…and grew!

there was a…dissatisfaction with everything…

and then…some

until one day…Jesus…led me to sing…

for An Audience of…One~~~

There were no jitters there

no stressed effort…to make it good

I just opened my mouth and sang

for…Him…who understood

not a breath was wasted…as

every syllable was of…Him

who meted out…as He saw fit…

the moment’s melody and…vim~~~

And today…it’s still this way

but what’s treasured…so much more…

is His faithful attend at each serenade

where He Himself…provides the score

is it foolish you think…that I’m content to drink

from a fountain filled with only…His…Praises

rather than receiving… the recognition and nod

of the world’s approving phases?~~~

I take nothing away from those Vessels of God…

called…to move with song…the multitude

for certainly, without a doubt, they are

His instruments…His…appointed tool

but I am satisfied to know…

on the day of our appearing before…The Son

while others did…His Pleasure…before thousands

I did it for…An Audience of…One
