Have YET...to LEARN

Waiting on God means; no matter how badly we want things to go our way, we do not take matters into our own hands...but pray and wait... to see how God is going to work all things out. This is not easy. But through trial and error I have...learned.

Poem Artwork

 There are...some...who

            have yet…to learn

that…force is eventually…spurned

and the desire to…make one bend

ultimately comes…to a sore end

For such deeds done so…blatantly

display errs so flagrantly...

catapulting others toward a wayward incline

as they look to a human…not God…to shine

Where are the actions… nudging the heart

to wait on Jesus and what ‘His Word’…imparts?

alas! it’s lost to intemperance…burn

but this…some…

             have yet to learn

Mic 7:7, Lam 3:25, Ps 146: 3-5

God always has the last word despite our best efforts to do it our own way, Your poem says so much, I enjoyed reading it. Also, I love your new avatar. You look radiant. Blessings, from my heart to yours.

Learning, and growing in Grace, is a given for any Christian seeking understanding, wisdom, and discernment from our Creator. (As I've learned) none of us ever arrive; it's an ongoing process. God cannot give us peace and happiness apart from Himself, because there is no such thing. So I must pray, read or listen to His word, and press in on a regular basis. Relying on the Most High has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done. I am on my second pass through the entire Bible in 10 months. The more forthrightly I press in, the more obliged I am to look into His mirror daily to remind me who I was, what He's done for me, and whom I'm becoming in Him. It's not easy. It requires humility. Each day we need an unwavering kind of discipline, as well, that only God, by His Holy Spirit, can give us. Jeremiah 29:13 NIV "You will seek me and find me when you seek ME with all your heart." Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny, JMS Bell. But we have to be patient, and fully understand, and accept, God's timing in all things. (1st Corinthians 2:9) Enjoyed your thoughts. Peace... r

Our lives are in constant learning of the good and bad, so we can differentiate them. Without comparison, we won't know. As we proceed in life we are enriched by God's words and His guidance.

Not "some of us", "all of us" have yet much to learn.
