For...EVERYTHING...It Took

The fact is, I didn’t ‘understand’...then... why I went through so much, but I do…now. Jesus finds us all on different ‘roads’ where we've experienced the best and the worst of life. But, within the Light of 'His Love', when ‘clarity’ finally arrives, the only thing that really matters is; I once was lost, but now…I’m found. And we are grateful for...Everything it Took...to bring us to that place. Amen. Shall we…press-on?

Poem Artwork

Dear Lord, for Everything…it took…

for the summits, the sunshine, the rain…

but then…that unforgettable babbling brook

for rugged roads…lined with sickle and hew

that were permitted …not to discourage me …

but to teach how…to cling to You…like glue

for the times of peace…but also, of tear

for every mistaken turn…and yearn…

for the periods of learning…and fear

for happiness, so changeable …along the way

But Especially, for that…Dawning…that moment…

Jesus …!  for that Miraculous Day…

when...You Found Me...in my darkest hour!

with Healing Leaves…You came where I lay dying…

You brought Joy…that lifted me by Your Power!

there, at last, I Embraced…Love that has ne’er…Forsook

Oh, Dear Magnificent God…how Grateful I am for…You…!

And for…E-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g …it took!

Psalm 139:1-18, Jeremiah 31:3

To be lost and then to be found. That seems to be the meaning of salvation from this our world. Fine work.
