Dear Colonel.... You’re always there I’m so grateful... Thank you. My brother would say Thank you.... For holding my hand. Today, his medals came He would be so proud So proud to wear them. It’s been forty-four years Every reminder cuts deep Just like it did on this day. Hope remains strong There will be a day That day will come along. Dear Colonel... Proud is what you and your Brother should be. I was in the Navy in the 50's so I know what the medal means. As always my Dear Friend your poetry is outstanding no matter what the subject may be. GOD BLESS YOU and Your Loved Ones.
