Written for a wonderful friend of mine, she raises German Shephards and Bengal Cats,

Poem Artwork

Where bluebirds fly and wild mustard grows,

where butterflies dream, and lilies flow,

where songs are heard before the sun,

and winds are warm, and shadows spun,

Where days are met by country air,

and fields grazed by roaming deer,

where bengals play, and pups are born,

and plentiful dew, brings in the morn',

Where roses bloom and clovers smile,

and gentle hands wave at every mile,

Where beautiful shephards are nourished and treasured,

and raised with care, one cannot measure,

Where bengals show their fondest stripes,

and glorious queens hold quite a site,

Where shephards paws are surely clean,

and the finest affection, transcends the scene,

Where grapevines climb, and golden wheat paces,

where cornstalks wink, at human faces,

where rainbows cross, and clouds appear,

and shephards and bengals, have the greatest care!

Bengal cats are so pretty; they remind me of small leopards! And love those German Shephards; in Ohio, our neighbor had a male shephard named "Princess" (DON'T laugh; that was his name! LOL); and this write made me think of him! "Princess" used to come over every day during supper, begging for some "treats"; it was funny, especially if our cat, "Friday", wasn't expecting to see him! (She was NOT a fan of dogs, especially BIG dogs like "Princess"! LOL) (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D
