Guardian Angels

I’d like you to meet someone special
He’s a little tired and hungry
But otherwise all is fine.
His normal disposition is happy
Enthusiastic and overjoyed to be here.
He’s loyal to a fault
He is the embodiment of love
He likes kids and old timers
And all those in between.
He has no time for religion or politics.
He is completely oblivious to race or
Color or ethnicity or your bank account
He’s ready when you are…actually
Long before you are.
He’s not impressed with your ability to dance
Or sing or whether you go to church
He never holds a grudge and
He doesn’t end friendships.
When others turn against you
He will not.
When tough times come along
He will tough them out
But he will come to your rescue
Every time you are attacked.
I won’t compare him to your best friend
Because he is your best friend
Actually he could be even more—
He could be your guardian angel.
