Halloween magic, night of tricks
Kids in costumes getting a candy fix!
Parents are wary, eyes open wide
Behind a bush is where goblins can hide.

Children in costume, through neighborhoods roam
Returning with their bounty back to their home.
Sorting through goodies, trading their treats
The one night a year when candy is all they eat!

So be ready for the doorbell, and give the kids their pick
You’ve got to give them treats or expect a scary trick!
Those hungry kids expect to get a goodly share of yummies -
Then late that night they’ll all awake with very upset tummies!!
