Warped Reflection

Let's blame this one on a bad dream last night........

Time is passing more quickly now
Reflection creases my old brow
The mirror lies at me somehow
Where did the time go?


Youth has fled its’ blossom died
My old broken heart it cried
The ugly words and times you lied
Was I just blind to truth?


I threw away the letters and such
When I was young they meant so much
As I still hungered for your touch
Did I really want to know?


As time’s gone by and I now see
Youth’s folly was prison, I was not free
But at least I could be the "real" me
Did I move on or just stop caring?
