This poem is just me venting about people in the world that pretend to have so much love for you only to be harvesting sheer hatred for you on the inside.

Backstabbers

It seems like you have the greatest intentions. You come with a smile, a hug, a pleasant remark. It would seem like you have my best interest at heart. Little do I know, that behind my back you are plotting my demise; lies and deceit, your not a friend, you’re a foe. You have no heart and a dark empty soul. Am I afraid of you? Never, it is you who should fear, because what goes around comes back around my dear.

You hate to see me happy. You secretly cringe when I smile; you go out of your way to hide your true self. I see through it, you can no longer fool me, trying to pretend you care very much for me.  Let it go, just come clean. I know why you befriended me, to get what you need. It’s a shame that this way of life seems so natural to you like breathing.

The words that purge from your lips are lies; vile and slick; that while you think of what to say they should make your whole being sick. It is sad that you don’t behave like the rest of your kin, you are full of evil and treacherous sin. How could you live with yourself everyday? Scheming, can’t you see that it’s with my life you play? Didn’t want to point the finger, but you leave me no choice, with this pen and paper I now have a voice.

You are a liar, you’re a deranged individual, your soul is a bottomless pit. You use anything to get over on the kind and the gentle of heart. Scares me to know that someone will use their precious children in their evil malicious plots to watch others fall. Be careful what you do, how you treat others will fall back on you. The very knife that you had to cut me will now pierce your wicked soul and send it crashing down to the gates of hell, unless you make a drastic change.

If you continue spreading your hateful venom of jealously and envy it will destroy you and I shall remain standing stronger than ever before. One day you will learn the folly of your ways and hopefully realize that in order for you to be a whole person you need to let go of your Backstabbing Ways!

This poem was dedicated to a particular person. It’s sad that her children have to be surrounded by all manner of deceit and debauchery. Pains me how some people are so careless with the lives of their kids. Don’t they know that what you do affects them too.
