Dedicated to my brother Tommy who passed away this past Tuesday. He was an accomplished artist and musician. He was 55 years old .

Mom said he could always
Make a monkey laugh
He was a friend to everyone
Rich or poor or riff-raff
His music was his passion
His artwork was his form
This man of gypsy spirit
Never opted for the norm
His smile is in the heavens
His song is on the wind
He came back home to say "Goodbye"
And with his spirit mend
He'll always be remembered
For his 'child-like' longer curls
The way he had of charming me
His siblings and the girls
We'll miss him when reunion comes
For the family next month
But Tommy's out there wondering
Upon a new adventure hunt
God took him as an artist
To paint some special art
We'll see it soon enough I think
Within our own sad hearts
It'll be a thing of beauty
Special just for us
We'll know then he is happy
That he's found his wanderlust
He'll sit beside our father
Our sister Trisha too
This man of creative talent
Will never sing the blues
Instead he will sing happy
He'll baritone the crowd
Then when we want to hum along
We'll vocalize aloud
Immortalised forever in your words, but not tamed or "captured" perhaps, your last six lines say it all: "This man of creative talent Will never sing the blues Instead he will sing happy He'll baritone the crowd Then when we want to hum along We'll vocalise aloud". A wonderful celebration of the gift of his life here, Susan, and one that will be giving you constant nudges to join in his chorus as you continue along your way until you meet again face to face. you in your loss. God's promise of a resurrection, at John 5:28,29
should surely bring a measure of consolation to you.

I am sorry to hear about your brother, I am approaching the same age as my father was when he died and in fact I right on time to tie him. I still have so much more I want to do. Your brother sounds like he was a very nice fellow. God bless you.
