Savannah, Georgia has the second largest St. Patrick's Day celebration and parade in America. Most people think blacks were the slaves in this area but it was the Irish. They came as endentured slaves to Savannah thus giving Savannah one of the greatest cities of Irish Heritage in the states. I should know... my children have Irish blood running through their veins and me too. If you live in Savannah or just come for the celebration with a million others then you have Irish in you for a day.

Tis the Top O' the Marn'n...a good day to all
Tis the St. Patrick's Day greet'n for the big and the small
Tis emerald and is growing on beards and the dog
